Plant description
One of the best early season cooking apples, ‘Arthur Turner’ cooks to a sweet yellow puree and requires little sugar; it is also a great apple for baking. Fascinatingly, it is the only apple to be awarded an Award of Garden Merit (RHS) on account of its striking, deep pink blossom. This tree thus doubles up as an ornamental and fruiting variety, providing style and function to any garden. Pollination information: This apple belongs to pollination group 3 however it is partially self fertile, so does not need a pollinating partner to produce a crop of apples. For a bumper crop, it can be cross-pollinated with other apples in this group.
