Plant description
Azara serrata is a medium-sized evergreen shrub with an attractive, compact form. It has oval, glossy leaves with serrated edges and produces pom-pom clusters of tiny, fragrant yellow flowers in summer occasionally followed by white berries during a long, warm summer if placed against a southerly, sheltered wall. Try planting with Ceanothus which flowers at the same time and enjoys a similar sunny aspect, for a stunning yellow and blue combination.
