Clematis × Durandii

A deciduous, non-twining, herbaceous perennial. This highly versatile late-season Clematis looks superb scrambling through early spring flowering shrubs, extending the season of interest. Alternatively, Durand’s clematis can be used to add height to the mixed border if trained on a framework of metal or natural materials such as hazel or birch. Intense, deep indigo-blue star-shaped flowers with a central tuft of white and golden yellow stamens emerge from early to late summer.
