Plant description
‘Leskovac’ is a remarkably productive and resilient quince variety, boasting a tidy dwarf habit that makes it a perfect fit for small gardens and patio containers. Adorned with beautiful rounded silver leaves and charming green-pink flowers in spring, it produces fragrant, pear-shaped fruits that ripen to a lemony shade of yellow and can be harvested from October. While freshly picked quinces are bitter and inedible, their true magic unfolds when cooked into excellent jams and jellies. Moreover, adding a few slices of quince to apple pies before baking enhances the overall flavour, creating a delightful culinary experience.
