Plant description
This fast-growing climber is a magnificent sight in late spring and early summer, when its super-long (up to 40cm) flower trusses appear. An award-winning form, the bicoloured blooms have a good perfume, and these are followed by decorative pods that can persist into winter. Even when not in flower, the attractive pinnate foliage, which emerges with a bronze flush in spring, will provide a handsome summer backdrop.
This plant has been vegetatively propagated, so will flower earlier than those grown from seed.
